You managed to take up 2 spots with an e-bike!!!
No he didn't. He managed to take up one spot by laying the e-bike on it's side in the middle of the space, but unfortunately the side on the pavement was damaged.
At least, that's what it will look like when he comes back to it...
With a non grump interpretation I see it as a person trying to leave both spots available because they don't want to hog a whole one with a tiny motorcycle.

Maybe he did it with good intentions, but he only left room to park an Elio on each side of it.
Yeah, it looks like he tried to take up zero spots. I wouldn't park in either of those two spots with my car, so I'm not sure how successful he was.
I'd park that thing in a bike rack or on an out of the way side walk. Of course he could probably just bring it in his cubicle.

Our building management gets pissy about that, so motorcycles have to park in regular spots. We don't have a bike rack. Granted, if I were riding an electric moto that small, I'd bring it inside, take it up the elevator and park it in one of our empty offices... The building doesn't have a bike rack.
I'd park my car/van in either of those spots, although I'd probably have to think about it first.
If you really want to take up no spaces with a bike like that, you park it between spaces front/back at the end of a lane, not side/side. If you park side/side people can't get doors open.
Datsun1500 wrote: There was a whole thread on why that was a great idea and how it did not affect anyone. How is this different?
People don't usually need to open their doors on the freeway.
In reply to Datsun1500:
If the spots are wide enough that someone could park in them and open their door without issue, then I agree. I still would still encourage parking parking where the spaces meet front/back.
That's still less dickish than the average Jag driver.
Since I rarely have passengers, I would simply park with my passenger side to the bike. No big deal. As I normally back into spaces, I'd probably park on the right.

From Left: Dodge Avenger, Honda CRV, Mazda 3, Toyota RAV 4, Kia Rio, Chevy Cavalier, Dodge Ram, Honda Accord. Plus a VW Golf for the photographer. No clue about what's behind the Avenger, the CRV and the Chevy.

Correct, he/she may have tried, but in reality this is a mall with very small spots to begin with. There was no way to park in either spot and be able to open the doors.
The oil spots indicate the same cars park in the same spaces regularly. Perhaps the little bike is between friends normal spaces?
Datsun1500 wrote: In reply to Beer Baron: I can park in either spot and open my drivers door. He is not taking up a spot that a car could use, what's the harm? If there is not a rule saying he can't park there, he is doing nothing wrong.
Actually, a more analogous scenario would be if someone parked their bike between two cars on the short end of the stall (in front of each car), since that has no affect on the parked cars (assuming enough room to get into trunks, hoods etc).
I suspect though, someone would still pitch a hissy fit because they can't park their car there (of course their car is about 4 feet to wide to possible fit) and how every vehicle should have the same rules despite having wildly different characteristics.
I always park on the sidewalk in front of the door closest where I enter the building. Parking spots are for chumps.
In reply to G. P. Snorklewacker:
When I do that in my work van I like to refer to it as 'white van privilege'.
I just try not to park near other people. Or at all, unless it's on a call or at home.
Parking lots piss me off for no good reason. Just an irrational distaste of them.

nah the cavalier is just parked in a different spot every day. it's like a little dog marking the rug to show it owns the joint.
