I sold the car cheap and told the buyer why. He owned it for less than a month before selling to this dude, who probably knows full well the condition of the body and the fact that it probably won't pass PA inspections.

I have a friend who sold a Samurai to a guy for, IIRC, $1.5k, the guy owned it for a couple of weeks, did nothing to it, then put it right back up for sale on the local classifieds for $3k

Admittedly most of the worst problems are on the underside of the car.

Maybe its best the folks learn the repercussions of owning a car that low. I certainly look at them differently now.

Thing is, this guy isn't exactly forthcoming, at least in his craigslist post. Then again, I'm kinda the same way. I'll be honest with people, but I'm not going to answer questions they don't ask.

I told the kid who bought it from me that it likely wouldn't pass inspection, would difficult to align, and that the rear diff would take considerable work to remove and fix the PPF bolts. I also told him that the underside was thrashed and the hood didn't sit right because of the messed up radiator support.

I guess I kinda felt like that info should be passed on.

The fail point for rust with a PA inspection is considered great shape across the border in NY.
