It's been a good one tonight, folks. Just in the hour I watched last night (between 12 and 1am), I saw about 20. Also, right now, Venus and Jupiter are both visible.

Again tonight and tomorrow night.

The last three times a meteor shower has come through, it's been total cloud cover!!

Last night wasn't that bad. It's going on tonight and tomorrow night as well. Maybe it will be better.

I think it might be clear tonight. Hope to show the kids the meteors tonight!

Let me know if it happens, dude. My children loved it. About half of the ones I saw were more than perfect. Streaked all the way across the sky, leaving bright, glowing tails. Beautiful for real.

What part of the country are you in?

Yeah, I was out in the early morning yesterday and today and you couldn't see much. I could see the moon and Venus through openings in the cloud cover yesterday, but nothing at all this morning.

I only saw about eight in an hour and a half, but we're a lot closer to town than we were last year. OTOH, one of those was really bright. It was worth it.

Check it out again tonight. Maybe cloud cover will be less.

Went out last night. Bunch of pretty good ones I didn't think it was as good as previous years though. Too bad the sky down here isn't exactly a dark sky zone

Here's a link from my bookmarks, ignore my preset. I found the thing during the last Shuttle mission, so my preset's the ISS.

^^^ That's real cool, man. I had the ISS schedule in favorites for a while.

We catch the ISS and Hubble when they're visible. The meteors went decent, but we we really too close to civilization. Couldn't go any further, however.

Viewing conditions are good here, but I still haven't seen any. I'm just came in and am going to get up later when I have to go to the bathroom and take another shift.

I remember the first time I ever saw these.

My friend Allan Walling & I were camping out in his backyard. It was 3rd or 4th grade. We were worn out from digging our own personal swimming pool in his back yard.

We were laying there just staring at the stars and were just finishing a deep philosophical discussion about if all the stars were suns that we just couldn't believe that anyone could think there wasn't life on other planets. We were wondering about what kind of other kids on these other planets were laying there looking up at us as we looked up at them when suddenly an alien space ship entered our atmosphere. And then more and more arrived.

We were scared & excited at the same time. We realized they had to be meteors since the trajectories were all over the place, but it was one of those cool nights you remember for your whole life.

I wonder what Allan is doing now?
