I buy the canvas deck shoes in black (usually about 7 bucks), add Dr. Scholl's pads to them (another 4 bucks), wear double socks (buy a half size bigger, if it helps).

Like walking on a cloud..

I just bought a set of these:

Not cheap, but my last pair of Vans lasted 3 years.

And those DC-Subaru shoes are awesome. Not sure if I'd feel a bit poseur-ish wearing them, though, without at least driving an Impreza. Like the guys with Ferrari baseball caps and prancing horse seat-covers on their Alfa 33's.

I just bought a pair of those too. I also have a pair of vans slip-ons that are about 3 years old, along with many other shoes of the same variety.

Go for the Chuck Norris model instead. 2X8's are no problem.

dirtybird has already posted his ken blocks, they are pretty much the only specialty shoe i own at the moment. My daily's are a pair of black Adidas smooth shell toes, my workout shoes are a pair of Under Armour's, and my work shoes are some older Adio.

Monster tastes too good for its own good; must be all of those chemicals they put in it.

These are my daily drivers. I also have a pair of hand-me-down Red Wings just like mtn's that fit like a glove. I think my dad bought them in the mid-90's; he let me have them a few years back. I also have my Saucony running shoes that are used only for running, to keep them in good shape.

My wife has a thing for shoes and she keeps pushing me to get more. Aside from my Nike running shoes and Pilotis, there are more quite a few more that I don't ever really wear. It bugs me, because I typically like to just wear one pair until they're dead and then replace them.

Mmm. I miss my Adidas Adiracers (the Goodyear Tire shoes). They were comfortable, they looked great, and they were fantastic when working the pedals in the car. They got thrown in the trash after an auto-x one day where it was just a berkeleying downpour all day (and I got stuck working a corner during the LONGEST heat--stupid technical errors).

Next, I think, are the Ferrari Scuderia shoes. I'll be needing something better than my superfly Adidas Sambas to work the pedals at Pocono next weekend.

Some of my VW crowd would like to know where you got those..

The only cool shoes I have are an original pair English-made of Doc Martins. My g/f brought them home for me because I'm an old Punk Rocker. One of them needs to be resoled, but after that I'll be ready for that Clash tribute band.

I have some Sailor Jerry Hi-top Converse, low top black/black converse, and Piloti Spyders. I don't like the Piloti's nearly as much as my old Speedcats. I would love some of these.

I've been on an all-black skate shoe thing for the past few years.

I've had Vans, Globe, Fallen, Etnies and I'm gonna try some DC's next.

I usually have a "kick around" pair and a pair that I skate(board) in--I don't wear those in public because they usually look like hell.

I've gravitated toward the all-black stuff because as a 37 y/o skateboarder I don't want to be wearing the flashy shoes a 14 y/o skateboarder wears.

Just got me a pair of these today:

To replace these I've had for 3 years:

The sole on one of the Etnies has a hole in it, otherwise I'd still wear them. They were damn near indestructible! Hope the DCs hold up as well. I also have some blue suede Piloti Prototipos for driving (don't step on my blue suede Pilotis) and some Timberland Pro workboots for manual labor and paintball.
