Help! I don't know phones and need some direction. Don't say "iphone", I had a few paid for by work and had issues of sorts too.

Pixel 2, Consumer Cellular, just updated to Android 10.

One minor annoyance is my alarm doesn't work properly. I suspect that it's just that the app needs to be updated (Timely).

The big deal is texting. I receive a group text, and attempt to reply to it, and it never goes. It just sits there and pretends. Apparently I cannot also text contact cards. When I switched to mass text mode, it works, but that is causing some troubles with the way my various groups expect to use and see group mms usage.

I suspect something is amiss with my APN settings, so I am dumping them here:

The alarm issue sounds like the app needs to be updated, yeah. Is there something you dislike about the stock clock app?

I can't help you with specifics but your text issue sounds like it's on the service side, I have periodically had that problem for a day or so but it is usually fixed either by a reboot or an update. I haven't had problems since I switched to google fi but it happened on at&t often.

Are you using the stock Messages app, or something else?  Do you have an alternative app you can try group texting from (e.g. Signal)?

Sorry forgot details:

Stock messagng app. I tried FB Messaging and it did the same thing.

I like the Timely alarm because it's super gradual to wake up to.

I too am having Android 10 issues, though mine is the Google Camera so not working on a Pixel 3. I'm tired if these half-baked "updates" that break more than they fix.

Can you backdate to Android 9?

I'm on a Pixel 2 as well, but haven't updated to 10 yet.

I do recall after the update to 9, two apps were intensely incompatible and my battery suddenly started draining, phone would be hot, apps wouldn't work properly.  Deleting it didn't work.  Had to hard reset to get rid of the Meta.

If the alarm app doesn't show an update, try uninstall/reinstall.  As far as the SMS/MMS, not sure.

Nothing to add other that I am on a Pixel 2, updated to 10 last week, and have had no issues.

What carrier? Can you post your APN settings?

You'll need to log in to post.
