It makes perfect sense to me, and I followed it easily. Says a lot about how screwed up my brain is.

You can connect anything with anything if you try hard enough. A lot of the links are visuals, that's becuase it's easier to reuse and existing model (the travel trailer) than creat a new one. This make 'Dark side of Oz' look positivly sane.

I think the connections are much more mundane than this conspiracy theory posits. It's all one universe because it's all Pixar. 'nuff said.

I thought it was interesting. Particularly how he worked Cars/Wall-e/bugs life into it. The Pixar movies/world have always interested me from the intentional re-use of things and references to future/past movies. I know the models are easier to reuse but the camper example is interesting because they reuse the same view with totally different envirionments/texturing. It's not just I need a camper here but I want to use the Same camper here in a different way.

The first thing I thought of was the Cracked video about the same thing, turns out that was the authors inspiration. He took it to a whole other level though.

For those of you thinking it's a reach or taking it too far - you're right, but that doesn't make it fun to think about.

The part about Boo being the witch from Brave blew my mind.

Also, Mark is looking a lot like a canoe.

Cliff notes version...

The animals and robots wage war on humans, take over the world. Discover they need humans for energy, a la The Matrix, put us on a space ship until our savior Wall-E frees us from the evil A.I.

Boo (from Monsters Inc) is time traveling (using doors) to try and save us and/or reconnect with Sully, is the witch in Brave.

the reality is that they probably just stick things from other movies in their new movies as little inside jokes- things for people to look for when they watch the movie, but also maybe to plant little subliminal seeds that say "hey, i know what movie that is from... i should totally buy that dvd"..

but of course people have too much time on their hands and enjoy trying to connect dots that aren't supposed to be connected, so they do it... they did it with Star Wars, they did it with 9/11, and they are doing it with Pixar movies..

I wouldn't be surprised, though, if someone from Pixar read this and decided to officially incorporate that thought process into their movie design for future movies. They're just creative-nutbag enough to do that and keep a master timeline in some secret part of their Pixar HQ.

keeping with the logic of this, Star Wars and Star Trek happen in the same universe and at the same time (as each other... not as Pixar.. or do they???) because the Millenium Falcon and R2D2 appeared in battle scenes in Trek movies and tv shows, and i think the USS Defiant showed up in the Star Wars prequels, which causes a timeline discrepancy .. that whole "a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..." thing was just a decoy to prevent the people from finding out the TRUTH...

Man. Some people have WAY too much time on their hands. Why, just think: this guy could be racing on the cheap or building $500 junkyard race cars to run for 16 hours.

Oh, wait...

Ever wonder why E.T. yelled "home" when he saw the kid dressed up as Yoda?

Anybody notice these Senators in the bottom left during the No Confidence vote in the Senate in Episode I?
