We've been going to the same New Year's Eve party every year for almost 20 years. I will eat a lot of great food. Somewhere around 10:30 (and regardless of the weather conditions) I will ride the same flame spewing Triumph hardtail chopper that I ride every year, and then maybe a Honda Big Red ATC. Once my hands are too cold to operate the controls, I will continue to ride for a while longer, and then go inside by the massive fireplace and drink beer and Polish brandy. I will be driven home by a designated driver, and then I will get up at 5:30 and go to work.

That all sounds awesome. Except the 5:30 AM part.

When I get up tomorrow I will change the calendars so that I will know what year it is.

House party somewhere around 82nd and Powell in Portland. Same party we've been to for the last 3 (4) years. Nice folks, but not really my scene.
Usually live music and lots of booze. This year the band split up and I'm DD, so I am much less excited. I volunteered to be DD so I can drink too much at Dead Moon on the 2nd. 
Staying in and working on the large bottle of Jameson in the kitchen, no wait I already am.
I don't go "out" on amateur nights (NYE, Halloween, St Patty's Day, etc). Too many people. Too many people who can't handle themselves after a few drinks, and finding a cab/Uber becomes a PITA.
Same as usual - I'm the KJ at our local Elks lodge's New Years Eve party (open to the public), so I'll be singing karaoke from 6:30 to midnight, playing Auld Lang Syne on one of the saxophones on the lodge steps at midnight as the fireworks begin at 8000 feet here in the Colorado Rockies. We typically get a friendly crowd of about 45 people (it's a very small town, called Ouray for those of you who know the area), so it should be a fun, pleasant evening. Hope to be home by 1 am.
Picking up dinner, watching TV and going to bed early. I've got to be up at 3:15 for work.
7th grade daughter invited 4-5 kids over. I went and got some little gifts for bingo - I think the glow in the dark hatchet will make it fun. Snacks + 5# shrimp and Dorito's will sit well around 11:30pm........I'm one of those "hey, it's 12:15am and I don't want to watch another Marx Brother's movie so I'm going to bed" kinda guys. Twenty two years of an alcohol free life will do that to ya.

Going out with Mrs. DX and her family to a Hibachi Steakhouse and i'm not sure after that.
I'll be at a concert with some friends who are coming up from out of town. Concert starts at about... 10PM? So should take us past midnight.
I plan on late night taco's around 2 or 3AM, unless our out of town friends decide they want Chicago Deep Dish.

We have a great time. Walk to nabors house where there where about 15-20 other Philippine families all get together and eat drink sing karaoke play cards play video games talk dance then walk home. Lots of fun and. It will have new baby's and senior citizens and everyone in between. The new year is a big deal to the Philippine community and they sure know how to have a grew time.
Chinese food and Netflix.
Meeting friends for a late dinner of sorts. Then going to a bar for some live music. I plan on my drinks being water all night long and taking slow routes home.

I replaced every burnt out light bulb and every battery in non hard wired smoke detectors earlier in the week so I’m not exactly sure what to do with myself.
I always mail off my second property tax payment on January first…maybe I’ll be a rebel and mail it tonight “Shhh”.

I made an extra mortgage payment today. I know I know I am living dangerously. 
Working 11p-7a tonight. Well, I work 'em all, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year and Easter. Knew that goin' in, payday is pretty darn good tho.
