I'm not sure I get it.
I'm guessing there was some kind of personal watercraft involved. The OP appears to have the name 'The' which I don't recognize.
It was posted by "The Reader" (so his username changes with rank), the same guy building that pimpin' BMW race car.
I'm guessing it was built in the late 80's, odd it has the "square" bumper pads instead of the GT nose. May be a different body kit than most of the mid 80s cars used for IMSA. Looks to have a SD4 engine, too bad the size and spec isn't known/listed. I'll bet about 10K due to lack of build history and info. Its a clean looking car.

IT will then turn up in a couple of years fully restored, full history for $50K to sell to a historic racer.
so I tried to word it, whoever guess's closet to the highest bid wins a clapped out e46 m3 shifter knob, so you would at least have a knob laying around to play with. (winner has to pay shipping & handling fees, fitment not guaranteed, professional installation is recommended) but when I saw the post it did not seem like much fun........and fun is what we are here for. Right? I was given the user name "The" by Swankforce" When I had my "Name this user" contest. (yes I am building a pippin e46 m3 track car, take a look at what you can do with $30,885.60 these days, http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/build-projects-and-project-cars/2002-bmw-e46-m3-trackcar-or-how-to-screw-up-a-dece/88751/page7/#post1707455 This build is being monitored and is approved (so far) by the Giant Purple Snorkel Whacker.
Why would I want to win something and have to pay for shipping and handling fees? Kind of takes all the "fun" out of it. Especially since those "costs" are probably more than that it is worth. If it was not for the almost 1000 board posts I was going to label this as a possible small human powered watercraft.
