We need a new portable projector for project interviews.  This technology has moved parsecs beyond what we have now, and I don't know much about it.

What's a good portable computer projector that is bright enough to be used in a reasonably lit room, but still reasonably priced?

TIA.

Short-throw might be a good option, too.

they are doing some amazing things with projectors.  I obviously can't go check, but we have some at work with reflector lenses that allow the projector to face the audience while projecting the imagine above and behind it.  This shortens the distance between machine and screen by putting the bulk of the machine towards the screen.  Really cool stuff.

Somewhere under $2000 - maybe $1600 or so.

It needs to be relatively portable, but it doesn't need to fit in a pocket.
