I was given a PowerBook G4 and I am having an issue with it. I did not have the password for the user on the machine so I Googled how to boot into Single User Mode and delete the applesetup file.
Now the issue I am having is that the alphanumeric keys on the keyboard are not working when I try to fill out the Registration that is part of the setup. The fn keys work but I just get a "ding" when I puch any of the other keys. I tried plugging in an external Apple keyboard and that did not work either.
I am messing with this to try and familiarize myself with Apple computers but I do not want to dump money into this machine if I can not get it working.
Any thoughts?
