Anybody know how to have multiple Powerpoint slideshows open at the same time?
I have a presentation that is in 4 parts. I don't have control over the order the parts will be presented. My plan was to have each part saved as a Show, then launch all 4 shows and Alt-tab between them as needed.
I can launch 4 separate shows easily enough, but when I Alt-tab, there is only a single Powerpoint icon, and it will not let me move between shows until the first show is complete, then it goes to the second one, etc.
I need to quickly and easily move back and forth between parts. Any thoughts? Thanks.
Just something to try, if you're on Vista or newer, does Win+Tab show separate windows?
If you need to jump to the start of each presentation, you could build it as one presentation and put subtle (or invisible) buttons on each screen that jump to the start of each of the sections.
If this works for you, and you do this, put the buttons (action) in the Master slide.

don't have my computer with me so cannot check. try ctrl+tab if you are not in the full screen mode. if you are in full screen, ESC to get out, alt+tab to another Powerpoint then Shift+f5 to resume presentation.

You, sir, are the absolute man. That works fine, and it means no bodgy alt-tabbing while in the presentation; much seamless very wow. Thanks for the tip!
save them as PDFs instead

PDFs don't operate the way a Powerpoint show does, though. I have a ton of subtle animations, transitions, etc. that just wouldn't translate. Thanks, though!
