I used to cross this bridge over the C&D canal in Delaware often.

Please!
Up until 2000, the longest in the world, period. Now the longest over water.
Lake Pontchartrain Causeway Guinness: Longest bridge over water (continuous), since 1969
And this is one ugly mug too!
Plain, boring and bumpy.
giant, looks familliar. Ours was just bigger. :)
I'm on an iPad and can't figure out how to show a pic, so look here at the Nicholson bridge. http://photocamel.com/forum/hdr-photography/43350-nicholson-bridge-pennsylvania.html
Portland's (aka Bridgetown's) bridges aren't all necessarily pretty, but each can be picturesque (well, except maybe the Marquam)...
St. Johns bridge
Steel Bridge
Hawthorne Bridge
Burnside Bridge
Morrison Bridge
Fremont Bridge
Broadway Bridge
Then there's the Sellwood bridge, which was just moved, IIRC, 60 ft north, so that it could be used while its replacement was being built...
Skipping Ross Island, Marquam, Interstate, and probably forgetting some...

I was starting to freak out that no one was going to post the big Mac. As a kid, crossing it meant vacation and fun. As a college student, crossing it the other way meant I was mostly home. As an adult my kids and I play the "who can see it first" game. I love the Mackinac bridge.
A little info on the Ravenel Bridge. Extreme Engineering did a show about it. At the time it was the longest cable stay bridge in North America. I don't know if it still is. Pretty interesting though.

I still say the Grace Memorial had more character though.
And what the hell is my son doing on here at 1:30? You're supposed to be working.
Bridge over Carroll Creek in Frederick, MD. It even has its own website and is fairly famous. I have seen people from all over the country coming to take pictures of it.

Good to see that the "bridge to nowhere" now goes somewhere.

Lake Champlain Bridge. Less than 2 years old.
Simple and elegant. No truth to the rumor that Champ lives below it.

I was wondering when the Mac would show up!
The Castleton on Hudson is one on the highlights of when I drive to Mass. My wife hates to drive this stretch of the trip.
there's a bunch of bridges in the Winterset, Iowa area that some people think are pretty cool... and i saw every... single... one... of them over a 3 hour period last summer..
