Any Atlanta guys want to make a Pull-A-Part run this Saturday? I was going to hit the south side location as it is usually not as picked over as the north side lot. I need some parts for my Ranger V8 swap and maybe some bits and pieces for my '75 Duster.

I could do Sunday if you were game?
Got to pick up a Challenge car Saturday.
PAP East is a ghost town compared to the other 2.
Also less that a block away from PAP East, S&W just opened a big pick-ur-part to compete with PAP East. http://www.sandwauto.com/u-pull-u-save/

Can't do Sunday. My window of opportunity for car stuff is Friday night and Saturday morning to afternoon. After that I'm back on Dad patrol.
Man that S&W lot has a LOT more new car stuff than the PAP does. And the prices are good too.
I look foward to next time.

Count me in; I'm good anytime that's good for you.
I'm restricted to PAP since S&W doesn't list anything earlier than 1990. Whatever I can use is limited to '85-'87 Preludes and '88-'89 Accords.
Let me know...
There is also a new Pick-ur-Part on Buford Highway on the right before you get to PAP north. I don't know the name, but there used to be a Hillbilly cartoon character on the sign.
I stopped in there not intending to buy anything and bought a 8.8" posi rearend from a fox body Mustang and a set of PBR aluminum brakes front and rear from a 2005 Trailblazer and a set of 5 lug Ranger axles to convert the 8.8". They were higher $$$ than the PAP, and cost me $200.00ish total. I figured the rearend was worth that.
Bump, I might be able to go. Set a time and day post it up!

Well me and ClownKiller took a leisurely tour of the Pull A Part this morning. I guess OldSaw was still shaking off a hangover or something. I scored a Volvo V70 radiator fan setup with what I thought was a built-in relay, but turned out to be a computer control. I also scored a EFI carb hat thing from a Mopar that should let me run a modern air box setup on my Duster. ClownKiller got a cross bar from a Ford Excursion.
I already tried to fit the fan to my Duster. It was way too thick, so I hacked it mercilessly til it fit. I may have 1/4" of clearance between the fan and the radiator, and about the same between the water pump pulley and the fan motor. Next up: wiring!

No hangover, just some looming and sobering financial issues made me re-think the trip. And no, alcohol wasn't/isn't involved.
There's a cautionary tale in there somewhere but it'll stay under wraps for now.

I probably shouldn't have spent the money I did ($42) but it is cheaper than therapy. I had a great time walking around the yard talking with ClownKiller. We'll do another run soon now that I know how close the two PaP yards are to my house.
We ran into jstancel who said to check out his 1950 ford build he started in Builds. It's amazing how a GRM shirt starts off conversations.
S&W is worth the next tour.

Speaking of 1950 Fords, I did get to go to PAP south on Sunday and pulled a sweet Holley 94 off a 1950 Ford flathead on the antique isle. I always end up buying something totally unexpected.

We saw the flattie sitting there and I was tempted to stop, but I had no idea what else I was looking at under the hood. I was more tempted by the grill on that J10.
