I'm looking for a security camera type system than can be installed inside a horse trailer with a small monitor up in the truck. I want to be able to keep an eye on the horses when I'm trailering them to shows. There's a company that makes a system just for this application but it's a long way from cheap. I'm cheap.
I need at least two cameras in the trailer. They have to be able to work in dusty and low light conditions. I'd like to be able to flip back and forth between the cameras or use a split screen. It doesn't have wireless.
I figure somebody on this list will have experience with this sort of thing.
What about those "vehicle backup camera" systems? The ones that are supposed to make it easier connecting your trailer to the hitch or to keep soccer moms from backing over the whole team in their Navigators?

+1 on the back up system check the ones for RVs they are wireless transmitted.
I understand that there's a problem with the back up type camera systems. They are designed to run for short periods of time and overheat if left on for more than a few minutes. Correct me if I'm wrong

how about this
This gus transmits picture and sound and can support up to 4 cameras. It would be easy to ditch the AC adapter and run from 12VDC.
