Wheels America? As in the place that repairs aluminum wheels? I've done business with them for YEARS. Great company!

Yep. Bob Stretch is the Owner, CEO, head honcho, whatever you wanna call him! He is a super cool dude, really funny, smart, ect.
Congrats. Is TA making a stop at Mid Ohio next year? If so let me know. By the way, I have not forgotten about the Civic parts, life has gotten in the way but I will get it done.

Yes, I believe in June, in conjunction with NASCAR (don't know if that means Nationwide will be running there), but yea, in June
Wheels America has been a regular advertiser for many years. We've always found Bob to be an honorable guy to deal with. Sounds like you're getting into a great situation. That team really seems to be one of the driving forces behind the entire TA2 class, too. Good luck and congrats.

I was trying to hold out until the end of the year so I can finish out the year with them, but the new job wants me to fly out and start building cars up for next year and will pay me handsomely to do so. God, is 9 am too early to drink? Cause I need a shot before I do this...
It's never too early to drink!
Thanks JG.
He is definitely a force to be reckoned with in the TA2 class!
The last race of the year, not only did he break the track record at Road Atlanta in quali, he out qualified 2 or 3 of the big TA cars! He's quick!
Well, I guess I know who I'm cheering for in TA2 next year..
Congrats! Hoping the employer takes it well..you'd think a guy involved in high end sports cars would be supportive when he found out what you're leaving for.
That is awesome Paul, keep us informed, I will have to come and see you, it's just down the road a bit.
Didn't we have that talk at Sebring... lol

We have an Australian driver who rents a seat! He's an awesome dude. Name is Geoff Fane.

Dunno what the "old job" is but I wouldn't have a lick of trouble putting in my notice if I was going to do that!
I just stumbled on this - not sure how I missed it.
I'll just assume this was the result of follow-thru on your employer "rant" a few weeks ago.
Congrats. That is really great.
Thank you everyone.
Gonna be stepping in to the boss's office here in the next 10 minutes to deliver the news.
Weird thing is, another fellow employee who works in our Monterey office has done the identical move! He said he got a job with a Corvette Magazine and is leaving a week from today.
So, the Ferrari parts company is losing 2 parts guys on the same day!

You can't say "we've been drinking all day" if you don't start first thing in the morning.

This guy has it figured out!

Guh... Almost threw up going into the Manager's office.
I told him what was happening. He said "so you're telling me I shouldn't have given you permission to go work that weekend on those racecars huh?"
We discussed what is going to happen in the next couple of weeks. It is so depressing to hear that the owner, Ted, has/d so much promise filled in me and they were basically trying to shape the sales around me.
I told him Bob was offering up some good money. They said they can't counter with a sum anywhere near what Bob is offering. It is so difficult giving up this job. There is only a handful of us that work there and it's like a small family. I was really looking forward to cementing my feet (not literally) in the Ferrari market and getting my name back out in the exotic world.
Bummed.

Yeah, yeah, yeah... Now get packing.
Damn first mndsm, then you and now Per? Is it in the water? I have to say that I'm jealous of you guys that are chasing your dreams. We'll look forward to living vicariously through you all :)
