I bought a house recently- GRM thread coming eventually- and I was planning on sealing the bare concrete garage floors to make working in them easier amongst other quality-of-life improvements since my last garage was bare. After searching through tons of threads here and on garage journal, I came to the conclusion that:

  1. I had no knowledge if the pad was moisture-sealed and I have little time, so epoxy was out.
  2. I don't have a lot of money or time, so porcelain was out.
  3. I'm a newb, so anything with large amounts of preparation is dicey.

So far, it seems like a Siloxane sealer like SX5000  is the route to go, secondary to something like Thompson's Water Seal. Siloxane is even able to be painted which for me is a big plus- does anyone here have experience working with it before I begin pulling triggers on $250+ worth of materials?

EDIT: Also, if any of you have something you think is a better fit, I'm all ears; I totally could have a blind spot despite my searching.
