So heres the deal, I just want a helmet for auto-x and karting, so I'm looking through the much cheaper snell M rated helmets, instead of the SA rated helmets. I found this killer deal...

http://www.helmettown.com/Items/384-583?&caSKU=384-583&caTitle=HJC%20Snell%20M2010%20Motorcycle%20Helmet%20CL-SP%20Silver%20Md

But this is the only website that says it is M2010, the HJC website states that it is Snell/DOT rated, so is that saying the same thing?

M2010 is a Snell certification. DOT is a lower cert, and doesn't change every five years.

If their website says it's Snell rated, you should be good. I can't imagine HJC is manufacturing helmets that aren't 2010 rated. Worst case, it's an M2005, which should still be valid.

Thanks guys I just wanted to be double sure before I went through weith it since the HJC website doesn't specifically say M2010. Thanks again!
