I want to know why Ive never seen pizza at a restaurant with those little cubes of pepperoni like schools use. Seems like they are missing a golden opportunity to cash in on nostalgia.

You can! Totinos party pizza uses the cubes.
The big thing is the pepperoni cubes are usually turkey or chicken, not beef/pork like a traditional pepperoni. I don't know for sure but I suspect that a large poultry pepperoni would have a discernable taste difference over a traditional.

There's one pizza place here that does that. Bubbas.
It's a square pizza with burnt cheese around the edges, the drizzle the sauce on top. Their pepperoni is cubed, but if you're not getting the roast beef pizza from there you're missing out.

What say you all about Pineapple on pizza?
Pepperoni, pineapple, and jalapeno is a great pie. The sweet/salty/spicy from the three toppings is fantastic.
Last night I had pizza. The Walmart brand freezer kind. It was good. This morning was unpleasant. I can put two and two together, but I'm gonna go with "it could have been anything", final answer.

That sounds delicious.

Ham, pineapple and red onion.

Burnt cheese on the edges is the only reason I'll eat pizza hut.

If you're ever in Chicago, you need to go to Pequods if you like burnt cheese on the crust.

Couldn't pay me enough to eat pizza hut or Domino's, or papa johns for that matter.
Burnt cheese on the edges is why I make a twice a year trip to little Caesar's though, their deep deep dish is just the right greasy cheesy goodness. Especially when they're doing bacon crust
There's a semi local place called Second Avenue Pizza that makes a stupendous pizza, it's about 3 inches of toppings too
well I couldn't eat there anyway because OMGWAGD so we ended up having lunch at hardees. So still no pizza for me
I think pineapple on pizza is awesome. I don't care who knows. We like doing a pineapple, jalapeño, black olives combo.
There's a local chain here called Sizzle Pie that makes a shockingly good vegan pizza. It's got a caramelized onion spread, marinara, and nutritional yeast. Can't even tell it's vegan.

That surprises me a little, because little ceasars I'll generally eat somewhere after generic frozen pizza. I've never had the deep dish tho.

I've had jamon iberico before. Trader joes likes to sometimes put treasures in their store, and one time it was that. Wildest flavor trip I've ever had. 10/10 would do again.

Worth it. Damn I love me some pizza hut.
Remember this?
In my youth, I spent about 5 years working in the pizza industry. I worked for Domino's, Pizza Hut and did some "side work" for Little Caesars. I ate the stuff for breakfast, lunch and dinner and I'm still not sick of it.
Pineapple on pizza is just wrong, IMO. Never understood it. Too much juice in the pineapple and it would leave you with a wet and runny pizza. Plus the taste is just not right for me. Of the big chains, I probably like Domino's the best, but that's not saying much. None of them are as good as a well run local mom & pop. Cheap pizza is just that...cheap pizza. It has it's time and place.

Yes! Ignoring the flavor part - neither the pineapple or pizza is improved by combining them - the juiciness of it is awful.
FWIW, Pineapple is my favorite fruit.

If you've not tried grilled halloumi cheese before, try it. It's versatile: you can marinade it in things, rub it with herbs and spices. Think of it as a chicken breast and go to town.
Where do you get that stuff? I first found out about it on a cooking show where the chef was talking about how he was going to make a grilled cheese - and it turned out he meant exactly that. But I haven't figured out where to buy it.
Bakkal international are in Atlanta if you can't find a little middle eastern, greek or Mediterranean grocery store.
Alright, here is how I feel about pineapple on pizza.
Pizza is, essentially, bread with things on it. You can put whatever you want on bread.
I, personally, find the combination of tomato sauce and pineapple to be *disgusting.* However, if you put a little oil down on the dough, put on the cheese and then add ham and cook it, then throw some *fresh* pineapple on for the last 2 minutes of cooking, it's pretty good.
Know what else you can do to make pizza purists cringe? Take one pizza dough, stretch it to size, brush some butter on top and then and par cook it so it isn't floppy, but it isn't quite done. While it is cooing, scramble a bunch of eggs and add in add ham, peppers green onions. When the pizza is par cooked, cover it with american cheese slices. Then dump the eggs and accompanying ingredients into the dough. Don't overflow the lip of the crust, since it's on the peel and you don't want to have to clean that. GENTLY slide it back in the oven and cook until the eggs are done. BOOM! Breakfast pizza. Dip it in hot sauce. Yum. I used to do this when I was opening the pizza station at a pizza place up in NY. EVERYBODY loved it. It was a great way to test that the bricks were up to temperature.
