Races at Indy today

The Indy Car race was kind of boring and all I heard was "Grahm Rayhall (sp) ".  I guess I missed the reason.  He finished a distant second by 13+-secs. to

 Rob Dixon. 

The XFinity race was more fun.  Especially the last few laps,   four cars fighting for the lead.   There were lead changes and considerable bumping and banging and some pushing.

I missed the first third of the Indy race and the rest was not extremely exciting. I heard that Dixon was on a 3 stop strategy and most everyone else was on a 2. Dixon ran the last two stints on reds which put him on reds a lot sooner than anyone else. That helped him a lot. 

The Xfinity race was more exciting.  I really enjoyed the end of the race.

Honestly, the end of that Xfinity race is probably the best racing I've ever seen on the Indy road course. Great stuff.

Unfortunately, my stupid DVR failed to record the Indycar race, so I'll have to check out the highlights on Youtube.

The Xfinity guys put on some really good races, road or oval.   They were scheduled for five road courses this year, but I don't think they really know yet what the rest of the season will look like.

TL/DR:  Make sure you watch the Xfinity road races.

Both races from the Indy roadcourse were great fun to watch yesterday, but that Xfinity race was absolutely killer !  

I'm disappointed I just turned to the cup race only to find they're doing the oval :(. As stated above yesterday's Indy race was good and the Xfinity race was great.

Wait.  With the limited areas open to them for races, it would not surprise me at all to see the cup guys show up for a road race date there.  I'm sure the schedule is still "Fluid".

In reply to Streetwiseguy :Just saw a story that New York might not give NASCAR permission to run Watkins Glen. They said it could end up being a roval in the Southeast. I took that to mean Charlotte. Indy would be cool. Maybe mix the schedule up a little and run it on the Saturday before the 500

And California sounds like it's off the table, too.  That leaves only the Roval, so the Indy course would be cool.  And, with Roger owning it, I'm sure there would be no issue of dealing with an idiot track owner, as in the past.

I would really enjoy it if the cup cars raced at more of the rovals, and I think it would make the season more interesting.

Cup needs to run at Road America, starting asap.  The past Xfinity series races there have been wonderfully entertaining.

Southeast Roval in this case likely means Daytona, as NASCAR owns both.
