Forced air space heater?

That would typically be a torpedo style unit, which is typically kerosene. Just say no.

There are portable propane units which are quite nice for spot heating, but they will burn a lot of propane.

I looked in HD supply. Couldn't find it. Are you talking about the 40,000 BTU patio heaters?

I don't like being cold, but I also don't like hot air blowing at me. When I had the BMW I decided that I loved seat heaters, because I could stay warm yet not have suffocating hot air blown at me. I suspect a radiant heated house would have the same effect.

Most likely the BMW would blow a gentle cool breeze out of the upper vents while it blows scalding hot air out of the floor vents. Based on its age and model I would assume it had that feature. Makes car heaters soooo much more tolerable.

How about a couple of wall Heat/AC units? I can heat a 15'x70' very poorly insulated room with no problem with that setup. I can also get it down below 70 degrees on a 95 degree day if I have the urge. The other thing I would consider is the cheapest HVAC forced air style home system you can find. Cheaper to run than anything else mentioned here and probably no more expensive than 2 large window units.

I appreciate the advice but I have a wee bit of hobby / project ADD. Between the TR3, the Miata, this damn powerwheel Jeep that I'm trying to "restore" before Xmas for any kid that will appreciate it and whichever DD I have in for whatever reason not to mention my Brother's Benz and his Saab, I'm all over this place constantly.

Cordoning sections off just won't quite work.

By the way, my name is Matt and I love run-on sentences.
