Mrs. 914 took the weekend to go up north to see old HS friends. She's not 1/2 mile south of Canada and the same distance from Vermont to the east. Leaving Friday, it was dinner at the American Legion; because Lent, it was fresh Perch from the lake, Mac & Cheese and coleslaw - $4. Next day, off to the big city of Plattsburgh 20 miles south for Mexican, she actually had a Margarita with dinner (doesn't drink) "But the other girls can put 'em down!
I guess if you're not i the Legion or volunteer fire department, there is no life. She stayed in an older home, they asked if I still played with cars. She showed them the LaSalle and the new 914 seats, then the 93 year old homeowner took her to the basement.
"It's mine, she don't get out much anymore, but neither do I".

Photographed in one of the many canals around Ft. Lauderdale. Funny, I took a lot of pictures of the area. This one summed it up. I deleted all the others. I like this pic.

Well, I've had a few glasses of wine, so I'll post this one. Credit to Annie.
Let it be known even though it fit perfectly, I did not purchase this hat for obvious reasons. 😆

Epilogue: I did, in fact, have a Saturday.
I spent a long weekend cleaning and organizing the shop, due to the landlord pitching a fit.
The good news is now there is more room to work on my project car. I actually worked on it for maybe 30 minutes Sunday evening, before I crashed and burned.

Found this abandoned rural train depot today. Amazing craftsmanship as it appears to have been disused for longer than I've been alive and is still astonishingly solid.
Taken at Friday's Concours d'Lemons at our Amelia Island Kickoff.
I had to do a double-take because I didn't realize it was a Volvo wagon. At first, I thought it was something Jeep-like that was built that way from the factory.

And a bonus pick because this sticker made me actually laugh a little:

In reply to Colin Wood :
The fact that a Volvo wagon captivated you to such a degree that you completely ignored the Reliant Robin parked next to it really says something.
I ain't sure what it says, but it's certainly something.
I hope that I haven't posted this before. A few months back I built a splitter for a friends Mustang and due to the 1JZ engine swap, it needed an access area for servicing the oil filter. I though it would be fun to put a little sign/message on the access panel.

In reply to Colin Wood :
I scrolled by quickly at first and my mind just thought Defender-ish SUV, never even though Volvo until reading the post that followed.
But Trish has an affinity for Chinese Mud Men.

In reply to Tony Sestito :
You know what you doing.
In reply to Pete. (l33t FS) :
Time to take off every 'ZIG', for great justice!
Mrs and I did a short hike Monday.

The major appliance equivalent of the cheap German luxury car. A Miele dishwasher for only a hundred bucks! What could go wrong?
