Winner!
Never got a chance to pump any. Motor blew in the first session. At least it was only a 550 mile/10 hour tow to get there

Yeah, whenever I think about leaving autoX to go back to PDX or road racing I kinda forget about days like that. This sport can break yer heart sometimes..

I did my part to "save the stick".IIRC, that's actually how the term "standard" was coined. The manual was always cheaper than the automatic, so that's what was installed in the budget models. I still remember my dad bragging about how he could finally afford a car with an automatic in it.
and now people pay more for factory floor mats then he paid for the "option" to upgrade to an auto. (just a guess)
I find it funny the terms people get pissy about... "standard shift" transsmission has been a term I still use... just like saying a stick or manual...
I do get a kick out of correcting people who use the term "motor"... yup my cars got a few... starter, wiper, antenna motor... which one ya talking bout? oh you mean the ENGINE!
and then RIMS... if someone busts out the "rimz" term ya gota bust out the thug punk gangsta "REEEEIIIIMMMZZZZ" enunciation lol...
but yes cheapo gas is "regular... and the expensive stuff is premium... (which around here is a better deal as gas prices have gone higher and higher... seems it's always been 20-25 cents more... no matter how expensive... back in $1 regular days it was $1.20 or so... now it's still that 20 cents more... so still that same $3 more per tank... but now it's $60 to fill up instead of $15

On top of that, they changed the density requirements or something, which forced Chevron in BC to stop selling pure 94 octane with no ethanol last year :(
Yeah, I do :) The further south and west you go, the crappier the gas is. And I LIKE ethanol. E85 is like race gas.
