i used to work at phillip morris. and was always told that the tobacco that falls on the floor got swept up and used in generic brands smokes.
I used to be in the ag-chem business and occaisionally went into tobacco barns on farms and in warehouses during auctions. I love the smell of raw tobacco. Hate the smell of it burning.
Well, I would say that all cigarette smoke smells, as does cigar smoke. I can deal with some pipe smoke, but that is about it. However, some cigarette smoke is MUCH worse than other. I don't tend to ask the smoker what they are smoking, nor would I know where they stand in the price standings if they told me. I must say though, nearly $5 a pack in Virginia these days? I remember the uproar back in Ontario when they went up to that price. And I wasn't in tobacco country then.
I think they're almost double that in Ontario now.... if you buy legal smokes. The local natives have at least 75% of the market - at a few bucks a pack, and nobody wants to do do anything about it (not that I care).
I live in what used to be tobacco country. The Indian smokes, as they're called smell like cigars.

Pipe tobacco is the only one I like the smell of throughout it's "life cycle".
A decent cigar is fine before being lit, and fine while being smoked, but stale cigar smoke is nasty.
Some cigarettes are fine when being smoked, some are nasty. All are nasty afterwords. And menthol cigarettes of any sort is always nasty even before being lit.
I smoke a bit of pipe tobacco and a cigar or two a year.
Bleh. Hate smoke. My girlfriend is very allergic to the stuff, and it used to be a huge pain in the ass in restaurants when they'd have a smoking section and a non-smoking section separated by... nothing! It's air, freakin' air people! It wafts from one area to the next! Don't know why it was so hard to explain that sitting at the edge of the non-smoking section didn't really do much for us.
My grandmother smoked and her cars always reeked of stale smoke. She always had cloth seats too, and I could almost feel the puff of smoke that got released when I sat down on them. I think someone smoked in my Jeep at some point, as there are more than a few holes that look like cigarette burns, but I can't smell it if they did, so no skin off my back.

Green tea just came out of my nose.

That's kind of like having a peeing section in the pool.

What now about my peeing section?

is it just me or do those off brand cheapo ciggs smell 100% worse then name brand stuff?...
Yep, as long as you qualify "Marlboro" and "Camel" as el-cheapo as well. They're the Budweiser and Michelob of cigarettes.
every time I go out of state it's weird getting asked "smoking or non"... FL has no smoking in restaurants... it's a beautiful thing
Illinois, too. I go to bars now.
