Dug into my old box of RC Cars again. Turns out new technology has gotten into them too.... Anyone has have a little car?
My short course truck, it's a whole lot cheaper than the big ones! Rebuilt the shocks and center diff last night.
I had one of these, but recently sold it because I wanted to concentrate on my vintage stuff (80s Kyoshos):

Very cool. I've got a original RC10 Team chassis I was thinking of resurrecting.
I need to update/downsize/re-standardize on more modern stuff. I have 2 original Rustlers, a duratrax nitro something, a 2wd kyosho buggy that no one thinks exists, a tamiya mad bull, a clodbuster and an MRC world scale buggy with dual engines. And some 4wd car chassis too. All set up for brushed motors and 7.2v packs with tamiya connectors. Given my lack of time I think I need to purge all that stuff and buy a short course truck with the proceeds. Maybe compile it into 5 sets of car+controller+spares and say "just add $15 nicd/nimh batteries" and throw them on eBay?
Or, you know, wire the buggy with dual brushless motors and set things on fire?

That's what I found too.... Ive got a rustler set up for asphalt racing, a RC10 buggy, but just to get the brushless stuff to get them modern was more than the short course truck. And I can say brushless is awesome. My nitro airboat is stuff fun though
Yeah, i learned how awesome brushless was when the 10 year old kid down the street scored a $200 craigslist traxxas slash and promptly put all my stuff to shame, and was running 45 minutes on a charge to boot.
I mean, seriously, mine stayed current for like 15 years. Can't complain. Then the technology just exploded.
