Im a littlr familiar with the collector market, and unfortunately the chassis design on the gt is still too new to be a collector to most. Right now its a 17 year old used rc. Generally speaking, they go for about 50% of new, box stock. Your best bet is going to be either finding someone that loves that chassis and is looking for a new one, or someone that had one, and has fond memories.
I think that is the lesser model as well. The shocks are not threaded and the body appears to be part of the kit.
Most of the higher end stuff doesn't come with a body.
Still super cool - one of my all time favorites.

I think so as well about the body, but I don't know if the threaded bodies were available back then though. It's definitely the body it came with. I got the box and all the kit it came with, even the rest of the sticker sheet lol

I'm sure your right, the market for a NIB early rc10t has gotten crazy. Into the thousands! I got close to 100 for this piece of filth:
Everything was worn out. And I didn't hide any of it on eBay, I carefully pointed out the issues and that it was mostly a parts truck.
But hey, the 15 year olds who couldn't afford a gt back then are now in their thirties, hopefully they may be feel nostalgic ...

I know! And I love the body. Unfortunately if just do a brushless conversion on it and I'm afraid the world balance may not be to kind with me if I do that again

Sell this one, find a neglected roller, proceed with shenanigans. I have a history of......adjusting neglected cars i get cheap. See what's left of my rustler for reference, or what used to be a tb03.....

I've already done two... A very beat early rc10gt, and a nearly undriven blue chassis rc10gt... My buddy gave me a lot of grief for converting the nice one!
Are the old chassis still competitive? I still have my collection of RC10 stuff. There is a carpet track in Salem that would make for some winter racing jones relief.

Not against top level drivers, but against normal people they can be set up to be a lot of fun, and not embarrassing. Especially a long arm rc10 with a stealth trans
