He actually successfully flips houses and has a line of interior decorations, so its not THAT far fetched but yes, still funny sounding.
forget about Vanilla Ice- the last line says that Daryl Hall is getting a tv show... will he let John Oates in on the glory, or is he hogging it all to himself?

Yeah... he's had a show in DIY Network for a couple of years now.

I heard that he's doing that to learn the ways of Amish craftsmanship.
If this fails to be intentionally or unintentionally hilarious then we've really hit rock bottom. And I think there's a good chance it will.

...or some Amish saw $$$ when approached about doing some "fish out of water psuedo reality" show with some has-been rapper turned contractor covered in tatoos.
I won't watch it so I don't care what he does.
Hes actually a good contractor, making a good living flipping houses honestly and doing good work, with decent (for miami) home design.
My wife and I enjoy DIY network, and his show isnt that bad if you can get past the silly, pseudo-rapper, broseph flatbill stuffs. This is an attempt to further increase his skills as a builder by learning the simple craftsmanship the Amish use in construction. I see no issue here. Zebra changed his stripes. How many of us are excactly the same as we were in the early 90s?

Daryl Hall appeared on an episode of This Old House a couple weeks ago, they toured his renovated farmhouse. It was a really nice place, plus it has an attached barn where he does his webcast - I haven't seen that but it's supposed to be very good.
It would be a strange combination of events that would put me actually in front of a TV for any of these, but they all sound orders of magnitude less awful than "Honey Boo Boo"...
TV Executive: "Hello? Is this Vanilla Ice? How would you like to make some money?"
Ice: "Uh, sure. I could use some money."
TV Executive: "You'll have to become Amish"
Ice: "Will I be famous again?"
TV Executive: "Oh yeah, no doubt."
Ice: Ok, I'm in.
While she's no Honey BooBoo, today's paper says Michele Riggi is doing a reality show. Any idea who she is? We don't run in the same circles.

Don't despair, they'll always find something worse to put on TV, and people will still watch it.
It's funny how much better TV was when I stopped watching it.... because it was so bad
I must admit that I kinda like his show and Rehab addict. Oh, and Bronson Pinchot but that's partially because if he were into cars, he'd fit right in here.
