Any here have any experience rebuilding powertool battery packs?    I have a couple old 14.4 Milwakee cells that no longer charge.

I rebuilt a 14.4V Dewalt battery a couple of months ago using these: https://www.amazon.com/Tenergy-2200mAh-Battery-Rechargeable-Batteries/dp/B009WXZMIG/ref=sr_1_5?crid=E10NKJJFG0UH&dchild=1&keywords=tenergy+sub+c&qid=1614796811&sprefix=tenergy+sub%2Caps%2C200&sr=8-5

It was pretty straightforward, the hardest part was getting the loose cells to all stay arranged in the right shape while soldering them so the group of cells would fit back in the case when I finished.  So far the battery hasn't burst into flames and the drill is working well, so I consider it a success.  I use this battery pack with my backup drill so I've only used it a few times so I can't comment on the long term durability of the Tenergy brand cells but it is holding a charge fairly well so they're better than a lot of the no-name batteries on Amazon that I read reviews for.

I actually just received a second set of 15 to rebuild the other battery that came with the drill/work light combo.
