Who’s done it? Did you hate yourself after? Gain 5lbs?

Id like to try it but that would involve actually eating at a restaurant (small kids).

I've done it. They count on you eating the cheap preparations. They almost always have a bunch of shrimp and pasta dishes on it, and old standbys like popcorn shrimp and shrimp scampi. I'm reasonably certain the popcorn is directly from the frozen bag to the fryer. If you're an eater, it's not a bad deal-but you'll probably regret it later.

They never make a dime on me. I weigh 175 lbs. I eat about 10-12 plates. Never feel sick.

EVERYTHING at Red lobster is straight from the freezer.

I've done it, I won't do it again. Cheaper to get a bag of shrimp at the store. Better to get some fresh from Wholeys.

If they ever decide to destroy their profits with endless crab legs again though, I might have to return.

That said, if you're trying to get your money's worth: no carbonated beverages, stay away from the stuff with pasta or tons of butter, ignore the biscuits.

Things may have changed since they're no longer a Darden property.

I did it once. I ate 91 shrimp, my friend ate 100. Can't say I would do it again.

Would rather go to a Chinese buffet that has coconut shrimp, to be honest.

I've gone a few times. I ate over 80 each time.

Didn't hate myself after either because I skipped lunch for extra room

My best friend works at one as a bartender.

No no no. Nooooooooo. The typical consumer isn't good company, the drinks get purposerly watered down, and everything is frozen.

I've seen too many ambulances outside for me to go inside.

That and I've lived in seattle and charleston sc.  Once you've bought a salmon from a salmon boat at the fisherman's terminal in Ballard or buy shrimp from backman. It's tough to go back.

I did it once a long time ago...   There was four of us and after a while they stopped taking the the plates away. We had them stacked all over the place.  They most certainly lost on us.   I wouldn't do it again.

The last couple times I've gone it's been getting worse.  I'm pretty sure the kitchen is just a deep fryer and a microwave.

A basic meal at your average restaurant is unhealthy enough--loaded with fat, calories and salt.  Why anyone would choose to overindulge simply because it doesn't cost you any more is beyond my comprehension.  What's the goal?  Obesity?  Diabetes?  Heart attack?

The last time I was in Red Lobster was years ago during one of these endless things. The food wasn't good enough for me to stay and eat as much as I could have. I see you're well inland, so your options may be limited.

There are a few places around here that get shrimp and seafood straight from the coast. I'd rather go there, spend a bit more, get less and *really* enjoy it.

Plus, I live fairly close to a Red Lobster and drive past it all of the time. Every single person that pulls off of the main street then proceeds down the side street at 2 MPH, hits their brakes 4-5 times in the 210 feet from the corner to the turn in to Red Lobster, fails to use their signal to indicate they are turning, comes to a full stop at the entrance then makes the turn. Half of them drive up on the concrete traffic island or the curb.

Seriously. This route right here takes 2 minutes for them to navigate.

I don't think I want to be in the same building as them.

When you've been poor, you learn to pack the hump.  That's one reason poor people are fat.

I've got to feed 3 kids and a husband. Do I buy healthy, organic food for X dollars that will leave everyone still hungry, or do I buy prossed crap that will feed us for 3 days and be hell on our heath for X dollars?

You pick prossed crap for 3 days because you are poor. Problem is that that mindset is hard to turn off even after you improve your life to afford healthy,  organic food.

I still is for me. So...I eat like a hog at Red Lobster.

No thanks. After having shrimp I bought less than 8 hours after they were swimming, I cant stand the stuff in restaurants.

But now fresh boiled shrimp, I can eat about 2lbs of those beauties!

My wife likes it, but I will not eat at Red Lobster.

I just started a new job 3 months ago. It's in a city that was a small town when the plant was built and has grown up all around it.

When I get a call to the south end of  the plant I can look out the back door into the back parking lot of a Red Lobster and by early afternoon that deep fried goodness starts to waft over the plant. When, like yesterday, I haven't eaten, Red Lobster is doing their thing,  and the machine I'm servicing is making bags for blueberry cake mix, it's straight t the cafeteria for lunch.

I don't like seafood in general, so I'm not a big Red Lobster guy. However, those Cheddar Bay Biscuits are legit.

What he said.

I usually get my shrimp from the Magwood Dock. After you have eaten it straight off the boat, you are pretty well ruined for anything else.

Trust me, I know what good seafood is. Have eaten many of fresh shrimp while working in the Outer Banks. Also Calabash style in SC. Still doesn’t mean that those cheddar bay biscuits or some of their stuff isn’t palatable. I know what good Italian food is and tastes like, but I don’t care what anyone says, Olive Garden tastes good to me

I think this is almost a bucket list item to joke about. “I ate endless shrimp and lived to tell about it.”

I wonder if they kick you out Homer Simpson style if you eat too much?

Ehh...Red Lobter's quality is so bad around here I'd rather go to Captain D's if I want fake seafood.  I mean, I get that sometimes you need 8lbs of popcorn shrimp, but all the RLs are on my permanent no-go list.

yeah...uuuhhh.  I always know I am going to regret it but I have to stop into Long John Silvers every once in a great while.  It is bad, but then for a while got really bad because they started offering deep fried twinkies...

I can't believe LJS is still in business as dirty as all of the stores around here are.
