marie and I went to pick up tires from John in Dunedin last night for the Eruption Rx-7 challenge car . We stopped at Red Lobster and had the endless shrimp 15.99 .
Was pretty good the scampi was very large and the shrimp over white sauce linguini was pretty nice . The fried shrimp had to much breading but breading came off pretty easy . They also serve the coconut shrimp and some other kind but we had our fill after a couple of rounds . Over all i would give it an 85 . Beer was $4.50 so drink all you can in the parking lot before you go in !

They dont need knives, vicious little canibles...

Customers don't like it when they find dead lobsters in the tank , tell you about it and your response is the truth about lobster caniblisim. But I still have my job, somehow.

Yeah, in FL, they have to compete on price because there's good local seafood available.

They're only fighting with butter knives? Seems like a cry for help to me.

Yah. You just don't bring a butter knife to a lobster fight.

You do if you're hungry.

We used to have several Red Lobsters here. I think 2 things killed them, employees that "might" have been ripping the stores off, and things like Endless Shrimp. There are A LOT of cheap, big eaters in this area, and even the all you can eat buffets aren't doing too well.

The last time I was in the R L here, was to take some friends who don't get out often and who like shrimp. We miss the R Ls.

I made myself sick on endless shrimp. Totally worth it. I bankrupted that place.

Simpsons quote: "He ate two tubs of shrimp and three plastic lobsters."

That's how I am there. The thing is, they're probably still cutting a profit by charging a bajillionty dollars for everything else, when not everyone at a particular table is going to get their glutton on. Now the AYCE sushi place by me? Pretty sure they're gonna ban me soon... between me and a crew of friends, the last time we were there, to order ala carte, woulda been like 1000$.

John Pinette's classic bit about Chinese Buffets
"You go now, you here 4 hour"
"Eat vegtable...you scare my wife"

"I brought a seal to a sushi buffet... the seal at a lot of fish!"
" You, bigga boy!"

All it takes is a few guys like this:

and you profits plummet. Or you have to start charging everyone else more to make up for it and your customer numbers plummet.

I would think drawn butter would be the right thing to bring to a lobster fight.

I like the "loser pays" philosophy, especially when the loser is slathed with butter.
