Does anyone know where to rent a pressure washer?

Construction equipment rental companies like United Rentals, Rental Service Corp, or Volvo Rents. Also sometimes at Home Depot.

Check the ol' yeller book under Rental Service Stores.

Don't overspend. You can buy a decent one for home/ light commercial use for around $300. The rentals are heavy duty ones. A couple of days rental can surpass the purchase price.

I bought the cheapest Honda powered one that Northern sold. It was $350 +/-. That was 5 years ago and it has never let me down. Just drug it out of the shed last night to clean an engine. Hadn't touched it in nearly a year. It was running within 30 seconds.

Check CL. When I bought mine I had an assortment to choose from under $100.

I ended up buying one that a guy bought for a deck project then let it sit unused for 3 years. It was advertised that it wouldn't start so it was $50. It was a Honda 6.5 hp and all it needed was the old gas dumped out. Score big time.

As with most things, parts are a concern if you buy an used one. If you get a little electric or small gas pump they are often proprietary things. If you need a part you'll be calling the manufacturer and paying through the nose. Bigger more pro-style washers use modular parts, like; a honda engine, a Smith pump, a Nibco valve, etc. These things are all available at Lowes or Grainger or something.
