The "Kitty Hawk in Heavy Seas" thread surprised me with how many "prior Navy" folk frequent this board. I'd like to know how may Veterans we have here (peace time or otherwise).

Me: US Navy 2001-2005
Assigned to VAQ-131

USS Constellation CV64, Operation Shock and Awe, WW gulf 2

USS Lincoln CVN72, Indonesia Tsunami Relief Effort.

Currently: civilian, working with USAF on C-17's in Hungary

Hey, thank you! I'm not claustrophobic, but I would lose my E36 M3 in about three days in a submarine!

And, I'm well aware that, while the Army goes to the fun spots during wartime, the Navy is sailing around the world during war and peace.

I am glad I never had to go on floats with any of our birds. The Navy supplied the cryo tech guys on the carriers. But It would have been cool to go once to say I had been on a Med cruise or a westpac.
