Mr Shoveleroftehpoo is exactly correct. Do not EVER throw away a receipt for a ticket payment, etc no matter how small, no telling when it might save your ass.

I have heard of this happening before too, if you ever have any reason to attract the attention of the court system, any mistake on their part can lead to you spending as much time in jail and paying them as much money as they feel like, because somehow it is your fault.

Well, just got off the phone with DDS (Dept of Driver Services). They said their system has just been updated and it came back as Suspended. I asked to speak to a Supervisor, from there I was dumped into her voice mail, which i expect won't be returned.

The lady that i spoke to before said their system wasn't showing me paying for the Re-Instatement fee as well as not showing documentation of competition of the Risk Reduction Program (DUI School). I said that is utter BS!!!

Going home today to get all my documentation and gonna makes some heads roll tomorrow morning!!!

DMVs are amazing places. I was born Wallace Miller the third. DMV could never figure out how to put it on a license, No III, 3, third, nothing. Igave up until I was going to get hired by the state. They wanted my license to match my Soc. Sec. card. I went to DMV and they said it was impossible, in 5 minutes I was able to get SS to change my name.

Well... hey guys...

Guess who just spent 45 minutes getting his balls fondled by a state trooper on the side of I-65 while 6 cruisers all with cops in them looked on, followed shortly by his car getting searched?

Yup.

Guess who's going to be smart and lawyer up this time?

Yup.

Ironic that i JUST commented in this thread saying that i wouldn't be surprised if the next time i got pulled over that my liscence would STILL show suspended despite paying the ticket twice, and the reinstatement twice.

Should i also consider it strange that the cop's computer system STILL showed ZERO POINTS ON MY LISCENSE?!?!?!?!

Six cops. $20/hour. I'd ask for your $120 back.

Take solace in the fact that in 10 years, more than a few DMV, leos and other gov't lovelies will be huddled around oil barrels roasting rats with no jobs & no pension.

Driving while suspended. Again. I paid for a complete copy of my driving record and it's painfully obvious what happened. It's the same ones that screwed me last time. I'm not paying this stuff for a third time. On the suspension, it lists the original suspense date in early 2008, and this time the suspension wasn't "active" until about 4 months ago. Yep. Because THAT makes sense.

Sending the record and my last set of receipts to a lawyer today. Still waiting on a court date.

Even the cop thought it was weird. "Says here you have zero points on your liscense."

I have a feeling that i'm still in their system twice for the same offense.

I'm sure it's a state by state basis, but enough people in Ohio (including me) didn't realize that the plate sticker is due on one's birthday that they now put the date on the sticker in small print.

I was caught out by that once, but the officer was kind enough to let me drive the car home.

If the plates aren't due by the owner's birthday, that is typically because it is a leased vehicle, which has the date set a different way. Unsure if it's arbitrary or what.

In our state, the tags expire based on starting letter of your last name.
