What goes on with the rear seats? Has anyone removed them? In our current family state, the Ridgeline would be an almost perfect vehicle, but we have two large dogs that need to be inside the car (not in the bed). I'm wondering if I could take out the rear seat and stick dog beds back there. The dogs are not able to ride in/on the seats, so that is not an option.
This is just an exercise in mtn's curiosity. Not really looking, but I saw one today and it piqued my interest again.

Are you talking the older boxy style or the new body style ridgelines?
AFAIK, both body styles. The rear seats fold up. Ill grab some pictures and/or try it out if I see any at work today.
Yep, both body styles have rear seats that fold up flush against the back of the cab.
Margie
and they appear to suck for human use, from what I remember when we looked at them.
So fold them up and out of the way and load the dogs, just make sure the dogs are secured.
I hate that all the crew cab trucks fold up. It's one reason we paid $3k to fix the truck we have rather than look at a newer one. On the 06, the bottom flips up and hte back folds down making a flat load floor.

On the Subaru Baja, the seat back folds down and is a flat plastic surface. It also has a hatch through to the pickup bed behind it that you can fold down. But the Baja also has a much smaller bed and is much more car-like. And unless you can get an XT, they are really pokey. I know, because I own one.

Does the Baja have a trunk in the bed like the Ridgeline? That'd be another interesting vehicle... Although I'd really want the towing capacity of the Ridgeline.

Nope. And it only seats 4. Cool little rigs, I love mine, but not very truck-like and lacking in power. They have gotten reasonably cheap recently though. I remember a couple years ago when they were 8 or 9 grand, I picked mine up 3 months ago for $3500.
(Note: The Miata is mine. The French Bulldog is sadly not mine)
