We are just heading down a rat hole because both sides spend to much time calling one side or the other socialist or communist or fascist or some other ist. Rather then having parties that try to work together towards improving this country we get parties that are going further apart and never compromising. This country was found on people working together and creating compromises which allowed us to have a great functioning government. Somewhere rather then keep that tradition we said nah berkeley it let's just throw mud at each other like a bunch of monkeys which while highly entertain makes for a E36 M3ty way forward. And whether people are willing to admit it or not people are never going to agree one way forward and you aren't going to make everyone happy but there needs to compromise to continue to have a successful country. And this is why I don't like the douchenozzles on Fox or the E36 M3 heads on MSNBC because they are just making this problem larger and unless we as a nation work together we are never going to get ourselves out of the hole we are in now.93 EXCivic I agree with how your feel. Our country in at an intersection and let me pitch an idea to you. Let’s say you love your car and I love your car yet I want to fundamentally transform it. I would like to put a big ass body kit on it and cut off the roof. So where do we compromise? Are willing to have the roof cut off or do you want the body kit? If you pick neither then you aren’t willing to compromise and if you agree with one of them then I got what I wanted. So which do you want?
That is exactly the kinda attitude that is being pushed by the media. No compromises aren't easy and no everyone won't like the compromises but it is better then repeatedly ramming our heads into one another and just continuing to send our country down the E36 M3ter. Look the founding fathers could have taken that exact attitude when they were writing our Constitution. Take a look at the 3/5 compromise or the Senate House compromise. If our founding fathers had made those difficult compromises we would have probably become British again.
