He was THE MAN. Not only was he Dracula, an AMC Matador-driving Bond villain, an evil LOTR wizard, and a freakin' Sith Lord, he was also an accomplished Heavy Metal musician. RIP indeed.
This guy had his badass bingo card completely filled out and still could've pulled chicks at 90+ years old. Who could ask for more?
In reply to RossD:
Yes, in true British understated fashion. The group he belonged to was called "The department of ungentlemanly conduct".

This sums it up. I'd love to accomplish a tenth of what he did in whatever time I have left. What a guy.
I am so bummed. This guy (and Vincent Price) used to scare me E36 M3less when I was young.
And HE got paid to bite beautiful women on the neck. How can I get that gig?
An incredibly man. His life was so full, it's almost hard to mourn. Even at 93, he could have done more, but he'd already done enough for 186 years worth of life.
I wonder if they could ever find an actor half as bad ass as him to play him in a bio.
I'm thinking no.
I have read that during the filming of Lord of the Ring he had a scene where he is killed by being stabbed in the back the director did not like his reaction when stabbed and wanted him to have more of a reaction (scream etc.).

His response was something like "I am well aware of what sounds a man makes when stabbed in the back"
In Wikipedia there is a quote:
"I was attached to the SAS from time to time but we are forbidden – former, present, or future – to discuss any specific operations. Let's just say I was in Special Forces and leave it at that. People can read in to that what they like"
