Or, perhaps he thought he could knock himself out enough to "look" dead, and well...it worked a little too well.
Either way the guy was a character and I will miss hearing stories of his misadventures.

I make sure anything with McAfee on it is purged from my computer, but this seems a bit over the top when speaking of a recent dead guy.

Nice piece by someone who spent a fair amount of time with him in Reason (John McAfee Found Dead in a Spanish Prison Cell – Reason.com). He was absolutely an interesting character, who had significant flaws.
