Very sad passing.
He took over as General Manager after my dad left Tiger Racing and married Carol Hollfelder. Every time I saw him at the track, he had a massive smile on him. Thought he had the cancer beat.
Godspeed.
ninja edit:
Sorry to flounder up this thread There are a lot of great people in the racing community, and as big as that community is, I know there are a lot of very interconnected stories. He Sounded like a great person, and Im sure will be missed.

That's cold, man. It's football, it's not like the guy started a moden holocaust.
With our sponsorship of the World Challenge I was fortunate enough to spend some time with Paul over the last couple of years. He was always friendly, enthusiastic and sharp. A great guy, and a champion.
RIP
I really enjoyed watching him last year in the World Challenge. They always made a point to mention that, even as he was winning races on the way to the title, he needed every dollar of his winnings just to make it to the next race. Now, I know how much announcers love to play up that sort of story, but its obvious the only place this guy wanted to be was on the race track.
Here's hoping the Series can do something special in his honor next year.
Paul was cool. We met at our West Coast UTCC a million years ago, and at the World Challenge races he always offered us some shade, cold water, etc.
I just received this regarding services:
Memorial Service Set for Paul Brown
COVINA, Calif., Oct. 15 — A celebration of the life of Paul Brown will be held Saturday, Oct. 27 at 2 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1800 South 84th St., Lincoln, Neb.
Friends and family will gather after the service for fellowship at a location yet to be determined.
A second memorial service will be held on the West Coast to accommodate his many industry associates, friends and family in that region. The time and location of that celebration of life are yet to be determined.
The family has requested that memorial donations be directed to one of two organizations: * Citrus Valley Hospice and Hospital Home Care Nursing 820 North Phillips Avenue West Covina, CA 91791 or * Arcadia Methodist Hospital - Emergency Care Unit 300 West Huntington Drive Arcadia CA 91007.
Brown, the 2011 GTS champion of the SCCA Pro Racing Pirelli World Challenge Series, died Saturday at his home in Covina, Calif. of metastatic melanoma (skin cancer).
