This sucks! I've listened to type o since I was 15. Half my life now. Seems he was getting his life sorted as well.
Cash, Steele, oh man if Nick Cave goes I won't be left with any favorites...

Have been listening to Type O Negative since their debut album in '91. RIP to a musician who never sold out to mainstream media.

I wasn't into them per se, but it was still a shock to hear that he died. Certainly was a badass dude.
One of my favorite lines, from the liner notes on one of the albums "don't mistake lack of talent for genious".

They did a killer performance of "Cinnamon Girl" on the Stern Show BITD where right after they finish that sonic onslaught, Howard says "what the hell just happened?!"
A perfect reaction.
To send Pete off with the style and celebration he deserves, I put forth the motion that we sacrifice the Jonas Brothers so they can act as Pete's gravel walkway to Valhalla.

That is some sound thinking. Let's go...
As a huge fan of metal, I was saddened to hear he passed. I wasn't the biggest Type O Negative fan, but I know how influential he was across every sub-genre of metal. And he just kicked his habits too... RIP giant metal dude.

I am in, road trip !!
but yes that is sad, I did get to see them live. And I also had the chance to talk to him aswell. They play'd "light my fire" when I saw them, my friend that hates the DOOR'S, he even like'd what they did with the song. :(
Well crap, that sucks. I saw them open for Ozzy years ago. Type-O is seasonal music for me. Once the fall air turns cold and the leaves start dropping I pop in "Bloody Kisses" to start getting in the Halloween mood. I have never seen anyone wield a bass like Peter, the guy was huge and made the bass look like a normal size guitar in his hands. From what I heard, he had bad stage fright, hence the rolling fog that preludes his appearance on stage.
Think I listen to some Type-O today.
+1 on the Valhalla sendoff.
