My father doesn't look a thing like Ms. Diller, but with my Mom's recent passing I get really nervous every time I see that some else his age has passed.
I caught a glimpse of Ms. Diller on the "Pioneers of Television", when they ran that You Bet Your Life segment in a spot on women comics. She really looked kind of odd in the "early days" of her career, and she said her timing was pitiful when she started (it sure was with Groucho). I had no idea her husband really quit going to work and made her support the family. Her "schtick"(sp?) used to be that her husband was SOOOOO lazy. I thought it was just part of her act.

never met Her.. but loved her work. May she rest in peace (and laughs)
Some of her last work was voiceover on Robot Chicken and Family Guy (she played Peter Griffin's mother.)
She said her favorite Bob Hope joke about her was that "she was so ugly that a peeping Tom threw up on her window ledge". She definitely had a unique brand of humor.
A true on-of-a-kind comedian that was also a fantastic classical pianist. Inspiration to many. Her humor was universal and will be enjoyed for years to come. Imagine her back with Bob Hope and throwing one line barbs back and forth.
How old is he now?
As for Willie Nelson.. I have met the Man. Class Act. Last time he came to the Borgata he went out of his way to shake each and every hand from everyone on the house crew and thank us.
