Only 65 YO

I'm not a big Baseball guy, but thought that he was the most exciting player ever. All-time leader in steals and runs scored. Loved this commercial:

Local legend. He was tearing it up in high school when I was in Jr high a few miles away.

Thanks for the memories. You deserved a longer run.

Damn, 65? Rickey thinks Rickey should have lived longer.

RIP to the "Man of Steal".

Wow, thats very unexpected.

Managed to see him play when I worked at Chevron one summer...

Last I heard, he had the record for lead off home runs- like the first batter in the game.

He was a hell of a ball player.  65 is way too soon.

I seem to remember him as Tricky Ricky.  I grew up a few miles from the stadium he played in.  I am sure I saw him play a few times when I was young.  As I remember he was one of the players you could get a bat for in bat day (Reggie Jackson was the big get I think).

Yes, they used to have bat days!!   They gave thousands of baseball fans bats!!!!   In Oakland!!!!

Some things haven't changed much.... some have changed a LOT!!
