Rock and roll Heaven got another great talent on Wednesday.

Rusty Young, who co-founded the country-rock group Poco in 1968 and was the only mainstay through the band’s five-decade-plus history, died Wednesday at age 75.

A representative said Young died of a heart attack at his home in Davisville, Missouri.

Rusty had quite a library of songs and while several may not have been number 1 hits, there are some that you may have heard of, and maybe some that you have not. Take some time today and listen up.

Among the songs you may have heard are Crazy Love and Rose of Cimarron. The story behind Rose is pretty moving. Rusty is quoted as saying: "'Rose of Cimarron' is a song I wrote after I picked up a brochure while Poco were on tour in Oklahoma in 1973," Young explained. "It told a story of a woman who took in outlaws in the 1800s. She fed them, mended their wounds and sent them on their way. Or so they say... When I played 'Rose' for the band, everyone wanted to make it a Poco record."

I've listened to the "Legend" album more than a few times, although not recently.

RIP Rusty.
