I've done that before, it's a beautiful day for it! Have a friend who needed a ride back to Portland, ME after a wedding, so I volunteered.
Enjoy the day!

That was the original plan, but then we (people) kept adding more and more furniture to the equation.
Have you narrowed down your lunch stop? I'm not a lobster guy, but my GF had nothing but good things to say about the lobster rolls at the Lobster Shack at Perkins Cove in Ogunquit, and the Ramp at Cape Porpoise near Kennebunkport.

I'm hoping for the Lobster Shack at Two Lights, but I'm not sure if it's open yet.

Maine is where they make it!
I was told lobster is their second leading export, potatoes are #1. They ARE good, almost sweet, pretty lousy sandwich though.
I've only had what I think was a good lobster roll a couple of times, and had to check with a friend from the east coast.
I think this sounds like a fantastic plan. They were really good. Can't imagine what it would be like to have one in Maine.

Once in Maine for work I bought and expensed two lobster roll dinners I ate the same night. I was doing a taste test comparison.
Figured when accounting got confused at $50 worth of lobster rolls from two restaurants I'd act confused.
I do like some lobster rolls. Unfortunately, the only good place to get them must be in Maine.
We were up there a couple of summers ago and I must have eaten 10 pounds of lobster. The house we rented was across the street from one of the lobster docks/restaurants. They had a big steamer out back so you could walk over and get steamed lobster just about any time. They also served an outstanding roll. Good stuff.

If you took that exit you would have arrived at the gate where I work.
