It still pains me that they chopped up a mint, running, driving F-6. Those trucks are getting incredibly rare.
True. But, 1 ton duelly pickups aren't normally desired. Even my 46 3/4ton is worth significantly less than the 1/2 ton. The differences? 8 lug running gear and 2' longer bed.
Everyone I know under 30 thinks this episode is amazing, everyone over 30 is going "oh their poor backs."

Just starting on Roadkill? Welcome to the addiction. Best thing on the internet.
This is the only episode I've seen and while some of the dialog is a little contrived it was overall totally awesome.

It was on my to watch list and the other night I decided it was time to give a shot and the rest of history.
Things I learned from this episode.
-Check all fittings before starting the engine
-Finnegan is certifiably insane
-There's more than three ways to wreck your back in an old dually.
I was curious what they did with the rear differential, as pulling massive wheelstands on an open differential has potential to go verrrry bad, so I asked Freiburger what they did with it on Facebook. He answered "We didn't touch it"
I could see Slim filling in for Finnegan once in a while because he's on the other side of the country. I'd watch that.
i'd hardly call the truck mint. solid yes, mint not so much.
it's cooler now than it was as just stubby, but it would be cooler with the 454 up front and a ramp bed
yes i looked immediately for v drives

The sheetmetal is all solid and not full of rust holes and it's pretty much straight, the trim is all there, the drivetrain was intact and operable and it ran and drove. For a 60+ year old unrestored vehicle, that's near mint in my book.
