Saving a pic from google maps.

I found a pic of me at work on gogle maps. is there anyway I can save it as a picture? Everything I tried just saves the web address.

print screen will save to your clipboard, then paste into a graphics program, crop to just what you want, and save in whatever format you'd like

yup.. what they said. Kind of anoying you can't save it outright but this is the next best way.

I am slower than I thought. I can't find print screen. Is it near the "any" key?

On my laptop, it's right above the Backspace key. Might be off to the right side with a full-sized keyboard. Conspicuously absent from the Mac I'm typing on now...

usually above the cursor keys....near numlock and scroll lock. top right of keyboard

Yup. Mine's labeled "prt sc."

usually up above the number pad on the right. sometimes you have to hold the -alt key and hit one of the number pad keys to do it as well if it's an older keyboard.

post the link or address and i will crop it. jpg, tiff?

Thanks I never looked on the keyboard, just the toolbars. I tried sending the address to people but it never comes up on the part where i am.

Are you using the Send or Link button at the top of the map? (Print - Send - Link)

you can send GPS coordinates too... that will give your exact point on the map to people really easily.

If you are using Firefox, download ScreenGrab https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1146 and you can save any part of a webpage as an image. Have only started using it so do not know all the tips and tricks.
