And it was amazing. I knew the FM guys did work, but after getting a chance to crawl around under/over this one, it was top notch. I ended up seeing some build pics too, where they had to fab the trans tunnel, and it was well done, to say the least. What amazed me the most was the fact that the car looked absolutely stock(ish) (Wheels, rollbar, typical Miata fare), but was revealed to be a whole other animal once the key was turned.
Thanks for the kind words! Which one did you see? If the "mn" in "mndsm" stands for Minnesota, I'm guessing it's Steve's new car.
We had four of them at the Summer Camp this year, including the Worlds Biggest Sleeper. Lots of rumbly Miatas rolling around. Here's who was there:
World's Biggest Sleeper - there's a 480 hp LS3 in there.

Geoff's LS2:

Steve picked up this car at FM on Thursday at around 1 pm. At 10 am the next morning, he was on the track.

And, of course, Elvis.

Wow, while those are cool cars, that blue Forrester might be the coolest!
That's Mike's car. It's an STi underneath, right down to the steering rack, exhaust and seats. He's building a Miata right now

Yeah, in fact, it WAS Steve's car. I couldn't think of the guys name. I was like... Flyin Miata... wait... I know that one guy that does the thing with the thing on the GRM board!
