"I should call it Oliver" - Richard Hammond

My wife never misses reminding her coworker "hey, you know, I have a cat named Jeff!"
That pup is just about the cutest little critter evar.
This is Ricco, he is half Blue Heeler. I have never had a more loyal dog (and I have 4 now) or with a better sense of purpose. He is the protector., and he knows it. My terriers are quite gereatric and have to go out quite often in teh middle of the night, he will wake up and go with them as protection, promptyl going back to sleep in the yard. If my wife takes him on a walk, he positions himself between her and any aother dog or person he doesn;t know. Stangers can take his food and he won;t care. He won;t play anything with his mouth, doesn;t play bite, fetch or play tug of war, but loves to sleep at the end of the couch while I watch TV
Heelers are the best dogs ever.
A guy I work with has two children(well, they're adults now) names Adelheide and Austin, and had a dog named Steven.
My wife, a school teacher, would like to name him "Hank the Cow Dog" after this kid's book.

He seems to have come by "The Dude" naturally. I think you need to stick with that.
I still say that his official name should be "Lebowski", but no one should ever call him that. He's "The Dude" or "His Dudeness" "El Duderino".
Yeah he does respond to "Dude" best out of everything and he has been the "Little Dude" since day one. So unless I can think of something I like better (that he will respond to) I think that will be it.
I shouldn't ruin his name like this, but...
"Dude, you're getting a Dell!"
I like Dude though. Or you could go with "Stay" - Steven Wright cracks me up!
You gotta call him Dude Dog. Then you can read the comic strip and buy the T-shirt.

What were you doing to arouse Ricco while you took that pitcure. I always suspected you were into doggy style porn.

Dammit. I can't really come up with a decent response without looking worse. I guess I'll go with the Randy Quiad "He's got some Mississippi leg hound in him, if he gets started, best just to let him finish."
Mental, I had an ACD (aussie cattle dog) that would watch my back when taking care of two cats. One cat would sneak up on you while you were giving the other one "what for". She was always there to handle the sneaky bastard. Also, when said cats were clawing the furniture she'd jump up, whine all excited like. I'd say "Get the kitty!" and she'd take off to mouth and lick them into stopping clawing the furniture.
They really do know they're job most days. It's the ones where they invent one that I regret. Like the time the same dog decided that all left shoes in the house needed some tooth marks. JUST LEFT SHOES.
I disciplined her by duct taping them to her collar and walking her around the neighborhood. I swear she was embarrassed as folks laughed at her. I'll have to post the pic I took before the walk.
