While drooling over the latest crop of Cars We'll Never Own on Bring A Trailer my friend made the following observation:
"The Alpine motor produced 122 hp when new, which is coincidentally the same horsepower currently produced by the windshield wiper motor on my Accord."

I need a couple of those motors for my challenge car...
In other BAT-E36 M3 crazy news, can we talk about this:
Is it my untrained eye, is the radiator in the trunk perhaps???
In reply to Robbie :
I saw that, too. My first thought, that's perhaps the most terrible, and awesome, thing I've ever seen on BaT.
That is the best car I've ever seen.
I would still want to get a Roller and drop a big turbo diesel in it

Somebody in Japan has a Rolls Royce Phantom with a 900hp 2JZ in it.

RE the turbo Rolls: My initial reaction was "RAD! I should bid."
Upon a moments reflection on the radiator placement and other features I realized I should just build one myself if I don't mind external coolant lines and giant ragedy air scoops in odd places. I feel like this car represents terrible work that was done well. Does that even make sense? Does any of this make sense?
One Take video on the Rolls Royce in question.
Stock 6.75 litre V8 with a blow through turbo setup, Ford T19 4 speed, King shocks, and a welded diff. This is the same guy that got internet famous with a rusty FB RX7 with a 302 in it.

Without digging into ti I'm betting rear mounted twin turbos.

it's not the power I am after, it is the sound of a diesel in what is considered one of the most posh cars produced. Heads will explode, dogs and cats will live together, and snow will fall in hell

Ah it all makes sense now...there are definite similiarities in build philosophy. I like it!
In reply to ultraclyde :
No it's a rear mounted radiator because he put an intercooler where the radiator was supposed to go.
