We still have a week here. But, the family is all counting down.
I'll pass your thanks on to my wife who was ready for summer break about a week before it arrived.
We go another month here in Canada. Eh. 
We've still got a week and a half to go. Then it's 2 and 1/2 months where I'm the only one who has to get up in the morning. I'm not gonna lie, it kind of feeds my persecution complex.

Jen's last day with kids was friday, teachers had to come back tuesday after memorial day for their teacher work day then yesterday she had to hold 3 IEP's. She's done. Done done.
The oldest is done. The boy has one year left. Girl 2 has two years. Girl 3 has 4 more years.
I CAN NOT WAIT!! Kids are great, and I look forward to them coming over for a visit and a beer as adults. Teenagers can try the patience of Job.

I've got 7 years on my last one and I agree with everything you said.
My older kids have work/school this summer so the little kids and I are going to attempt to drive the east coast from Key West to Maine. Adventure!
Seth - if you are looking for things to do or a place to crash in PA or MA, let me know. We live just outside of Philly, but are up in Cape Cod frequently and have a boat there. Having lived in New England most of my life I can recommend a few places too.

Last day for mine today. Daughter is done with her first year of middle school, son is done with his first year of high school. Both did great!
I know Texas does BBQ differently, but if you come to the Charlotte area I can get you some good local North Carolina style stuff.

Been out for a week and a half, and finally had my first REAL day off. Played golf, mowed the lawn on a Tuesday, and had beers by 3. I will be working all but 3 weeks of my summer vacation. Two weeks off in June, none in July (Summer School Principal) and one in August. Back at work the 6th with kids coming back the 13th. ENJOY SUMMER!

Day 3 of summer vacation. The she-demon can go back to school any day now.
I’m a sandwich parent, I have a 26 year old that I love hanging with but lives 2 hours away. And twin almost teenager boys that I’m sure will soon be the death of me. My youngest, 9 year old daughter, has become the least trouble lately but that too will change soon.
Either way I’m ready for summer.
I have students until the 19th. Then summer DE program begins on the 24th for 6 weeks. Yay?
