I just finished reading autoblog's driving impressions from the event. I got to the end of the article and wanted to yell HooRah! It's awesome to see Ford back in the game and kicking ass.
I read that review also, and while I kind of wanted one before, I REALLY want one now!
Anybody know what kind of mileage this car would get? I know, who cares, but I'm thinking DD and weekend toy, so gas mileage is a factor.

My spec sheet says: 17mpg city/26 highway.
Thanks. That's tolerable.
Only problem is that I'm sure the dealers are going to be asking way over sticker for them.
I work at a Ford Dealer, if you're in Texas, come see me. I work in Service, but the Sales Manager is cool and knows I hang with the "Mustang Crowd". LOL If you're serious, PM me. I'm sure I can get you taken care of.

If you can't get the Laguna Seca, the regular Boss 302 is no slouch. Just be sure to get the optional Torsen diff, and the TracKey software. You can always get the cool front splitter later.

Review is on auto123 (written at 1 am that night, yawn, ain't winning no Pulitzer for that one!), the car companies issue the invitations with expenses paid and the publications send a writer, yes I travelled with Jim Kenzie - we missed our connecting flight and rented a Mercury Grand Marquis , No Baruth didn't hit on me, I think I scared him, I don't know Rob Kinnan.
Oh and John Philips was there. I love John Philips - his writing makes me laugh til I snort.
The car was everything they hyped it up to be, really impressive handling.
Nah, Lesley, you did a great job on the write-up.
Just spoke to my sales mgr. He said if you're a friend of mine, you will not be able to buy it anywhere cheaper than here. LOL Bold claim, but he's not dissappointed me yet!
Everyone on here is a friend of mine, just so ya'll know. LOL
I swear that if I hit the lotto/inheritence/giantpotofgold I would immediately buy a Boss 302 with the Torsen/Recaro option and the Track Key.

Me too, we had potty mouth driving the Laguna Seca version in the hills, and laughing because we're supposed to be responsibly unbiased journalists. But seriously - there are only two cupholders and if you put anything taller than a small coffee in them, you'll need an extra elbow to shift. There - bet that'll make you think twice about buying one.
Looks AWESOME!
Wish I had that kind of scratch hanging around to buy one!
On my bucket list as well (the driving around Laguna Seca at speed part). Cheers!
The reviews on da Boss are quite impressive. I had a little taste with the svt focus, now I want some more.

I'm not a fan of the wheels, but the car as a whole is impressive. There was a show on Speed about the development of the new Boss and damned if it's not a legit track monster.
Awesome that you got to flog one. Where are you a journalist, Lesley?

Yah, those red wheels are a bit... much.
I'm in Canada, I write for Auto123, and illustrate for the Toronto Star.

The live axle that costs 50% of an M3, yet is just as fast around a track? And is cheaper, lighter and stronger?
Yeah, terrible idea.

What does that mean? Will he sell it for sticker? I'm in Ohio and would have to sell a couple cars before I could buy one, but I am serious.
But paying much over sticker for a boss can get me into a Corvette, so that would be a factor for me.
Hell, I dunno. LOL When we are able to order them, I'll let you know. PM me so I have your email address and all that. I asked him how far they were going to mark them up and he said, "I dunno, but I'll make damn sure he can't buy it anywhere else cheaper!"

There was a young lad in a GT with big snazzy rims who desperately wanted in to the track, but security wouldn't let him past the driveway. My driving partner and I pulled over and let him take pictures of our Laguna edition.
