I happen to like griffins, and my birthday is July 29th. I use it most everywhere, including my xbox gamertag. Or if you all prefer, you can just call me Joe.

I joined vwvortex after I bought the green Corrado. It's originally a Florida car, and the OO wasn't an enthusiast. The paint is absolutely blistered. I'm a Southern Boy, and "Fried Green Tomatoes" is the one chick flick I really enjoy (since I can remember a real person for every character in the movie). I picked that name over there, and use it on all my car boards now.
Well my name is Daryn and a friend in High School called me the "Red Baron" after the pizza they sold at school.
I drive a benz so I went from being the "red baron" to "benzbaron."

My real name is Davy Jones, but everyone confused me with the other Davy Jones....
No, not this one:
No, no, not this one either:
YES, this one!
So, because he changed his name, I thought I should change mine too. So I picked some random name from a phone book (no, I didn't start shooting oil cans after that) and used it.
Or, maybe it's what my momma wanted to call me.... dunno.
-Rob (or is it?)
I was given the name HappyAndy by a shift supervisor when I was working at a power plant back in the nineties. The place was an awful gulag, and I am sure that the plant manager was a graduate of the Joseph Stalin school of business management. Long hours, dangerous work, dirty, questionable safety practices, falsified equipment inspections and no toleration of poor morale or any discontent at all. In a two week period I was denied two promotions that I was completely qualified for, and a transfer request to do the same job at another plant. The plant manager called up to the control room one afternoon to ask what my problem was; Joe, the supervisor knew that if he told the PM that I was actually >< this close to going postal Andy, the PM would blame his supervision for my poor morale, so he siad "oh-no hes not angry andy, HE'S HAPPY ANDY he's happy all the time, there's nothing wrong with him at all". Half the operations crew was in the control room when this converstion took place, and that was my name in that place there after, weather I liked it or not. I quit that job a long time ago, but the name stuck to me for a while, I only use it on the www now though.
Um, it's my nickname. I tend to be realistic to the point of pessimism and used to get asked why I had to be "so damn morbid about every little thing", and it just kinda stuck.
It is really the only nickname I have ever had, so when I started joining forums, it was only natural to use that.
